Privacy Policy
This site ("Gina Makes," "I," "we") respects your privacy. This policy explains what I collect, why, and the choices you have. By using the site or joining the email list, you agree to what's described here.
What I collect
- Email address — only if you choose to join the list, so I can send recipes, updates, and occasional offers.
- Link clicks — when you click a tracked
/go/…link, I record an anonymous, aggregate count (which link, and an optional source label like "instagram"). This is not tied to your identity. - Page views — a plain tally of how many times each page is viewed. No cookies, no IP addresses, no identifiers go into it, so there is nothing in it that points back to you.
- Basic server logs — standard technical data (like request time) that hosting providers keep to run and secure the site.
This page and the main site are now one site on one server, so the same accounting applies across both. The full privacy policy covers it in more detail, and the disclosure covers the affiliate and health-product side.
I do not knowingly collect information from children, and I don't collect sensitive personal information.
How I use it
- To send the emails you signed up for.
- To understand, in aggregate, which content and links are useful.
- To operate, secure, and improve the site.
I never sell or rent your information.
Service providers
I use a few trusted services to run this, and they process data only to provide their service:
- Email — sending and list management (e.g. Resend).
- Hosting — running the site and storing collected data (e.g. Render).
- Affiliate networks — when you click an affiliate link, the destination brand (e.g. King Arthur / Awin, Amazon) may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.
- Social platforms — if you reach me via Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube, those platforms' privacy policies apply.
Cookies & tracking
This site itself doesn't set advertising cookies. Tracked links use a simple server-side count, not a personal profile. Third-party sites you click through to (affiliate brands, social platforms) may use their own cookies.
Your choices & rights
- Unsubscribe anytime — every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, honored right away.
- Access or delete your data — email me (below) to see what I have or ask me to delete it.
- Depending on where you live (e.g. California/CCPA, EU-UK/GDPR), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your data. I'll honor valid requests.
Data retention & security
I keep your email only while you're subscribed (plus a short record of an unsubscribe so I don't email you again). I take reasonable measures to protect collected data, though no method is 100% secure.
Changes
If this policy changes, I'll update the date above. Material changes will be noted on this page.
